About Marcus

My father encouraged me to take a photo class when I first started my undergraduate studies. He had shot and developed thousands of photos himself, mostly in the lab documenting his fiber-optic and laser experiments.

Equally curious about light, I found my lab to be in the theater. Enjoying the opportunity to create transformative environments through lighting design, I carried my craft to television, film, and video, exploiting the camera in the way it sees light differently than the eye.

I am up for every new way to take a photo, utilizing portable remote strobes to add an accent and pop some contrast into a scene, but am equally excited about capturing the natural beauty of sunlight that is never going to be the same twice.
